FAQ’s

  • Can you assist with resurfacing or repairing existing courts?
Yes. When resurfacing courts we assess the current condition of your court and provide a price according to the amount of work needed. We will repair cracks, grind high areas, and anything else needed to bring the court to a like-new, or as close to new, condition as possible. Keep in mind, concrete, and asphalt, do crack. We can repair the cracks to the best of our ability but, cracks will return.
  • Are permits required to build a court?

Generally, permits are not required in order to build a court. If required, the owner of the property is responsible for obtaining a permit. Permit requirements can vary depending on the project and local regulations.

We can advise property owners/managers regarding necessary permits that may be required per local ordinances and/or regulations.

  • How long does it typically take to construct a court?

For a new court we estimate 65 to 90 days. A resurface takes about 5 to 7 days.

  • What materials do you use for constructing tennis courts, and how do they withstand Southern California's climate?

When constructing sport courts, we utilize the least reactive concrete to minimize cracking. All concrete WILL crack. We use materials that will minimize the cracking as much as possible.

We surface/resurface courts using SportMaster Acrylic Color Coating System.

  • Can you customize the design of the court to fit my space and preferences?

We are able to build courts of any size.  If you don’t have enough room for a “regulation” size court we can assist in maximizing the size of your court to accommodate the type of play you are looking for.

  • What is the cost range for building a tennis court in Southern California, and what factors influence the price?

For a complete court construction inclusive of lighting, our estimate stands at approximately $175,000. Should lighting not be required, the estimated cost reduces to $135,000. These figures encompass all essentials such as fencing, nets, and paint, ensuring a comprehensive and top-quality facility.

  • How does weather, such as intense sunlight or occasional rain, affect the surface and durability of the court?

Over time, the sun will fade the paint just like any other outdoor surface. Occasional rain will not affect the life of the court. Excessive rain can affect the concrete and cause "pop-outs" that will, in turn, affect the paint.
